Description
Climbers around the world have put REFLEX to work, and what they told ISC was clear: Don’t change what makes REFLEX, REFLEX. Give climbers more of it. So ISC did.
Details
Introducing the ISC REFLEX V2. Built on the platform climbers already trust, with targeted engineering changes that extend wear life where the device works hardest. It is still the REFLEX, same body, same frames, same lower link system. ISC focused their engineering on the upper links, spring system and axle, and left the rest of the platform exactly as climbers know it. The REFLEX you know, built to go further. REFLEX V2.
What is different?
Upper Links
More material: The redesigned upper links have additional material and a larger wear radius at the surfaces that grip the rope, leading to extended service life.
More torque: Longer upper links increase torque as they engage the rope around the axles, for a positive, consistent bite.
Link System
Shared load: More of the device doing the work. The added torque forces on the rope travelling across the top axles shift a greater share of friction to the lower links, so REFLEX V2 wears more consistently, greatly extending service life.
Dual-spring top link: Two springs extend the top link’s range of rotation to maintain performance, while keeping the same spring resistance REFLEX users have come to expect.
Refined details:
Top Axle:
Easier Maintenance: A redesigned top axle and new cleaning hole make routine cleaning and lubrication quicker and easier.
Top Plate:
Stronger Top Plate: A more durable top plate better resists accidental bending and damage in day-to-day handling.
Tested side by side:
ISC put the original REFLEX and new REFLEX V2 through repeated accelerated wear testing under identical, controlled conditions.
1. Accelerated Wear: Both devices, identical controlled conditions
2. Removed at Set Intervals: Each device taken out of the wear environment
3. Functional Testing: We tested how each device performed
The results were consistent: REFLEX V2 delivers significant improvements in top link durability and extended product service life.
